Joel Keller of Decider writes, "The plots of the episodes of Terror Tuesday: Extreme may tend toward the thin side, but the scares are earned, and the creepiness is pretty damn unsettling." Adding, "As we said, there some skips of logic in the episode, as well. For instance, the three rules that the sorcerer sets up when he delivers the doll should be major plot turns, and yet at least one of them feels like an afterthought. Also, there’s a scene near the end that only makes sense once you see the twist."
Paul Lê of Bloody Disgusting notes, "Chookiat Sukweerakul delivers the wild and nasty “Spectral Class.” A teacher hoping to impress her bosses by getting an AWOL student back in school results in a horrifying meeting with the boy’s father and grandmother. There is no predicting where this darkly humorous story will go, and it ends on a perfect note. The series then hits a small but surmountable bump with “Girl Next Door.” Prin Keeratiruttanaluk’s unfocused offering about an addict entangled in a supernatural mystery is more sad than hair-raising." Adding, "Not every story is as strong as the next, but the highs outweigh the lows. And this series doesn’t use the word “extreme” lightly; it can be delightfully mean at times. So when looking for episodic horror with some extra bite, considering tuning in to Terror Tuesday: Extreme."
Archi Sengupta of LeisureByte.com says, "There’s nothing extreme about Terror Tuesday: Extreme but it definitely has some good episodes. Although most of the episodes aren’t scary or thrilling, there are some which will definitely impact you emotionally." Continuing, "All 8 episodes vary from slightly creepy to disappointingly dramatic and most can be brushed away with the excuse of a mental health crisis. From life-altering trauma to superstitious beliefs, there are very few episodes in the series that can make you feel like you are watching a supernatural show. Although, yes, there is something unexplained in every episode that borders on the supernatural, most can be explained by visiting a doctor. The ones that cannot are quite fun to watch and there are even moments of terror seeping in here and there but none reach that level of thrill that you’d desperately want which is such a shame."
